So I’m going through boxes, and I found a bunch of old cheques and in spite of the fact that they were from an account of Jacquie’s that is long since closed, I decided to shred them. As I was feeding them to the shredder, one from late 2001 caught my eye. It was made out to me, for $38. On the note line, Jacquie had written “Hockey #2 of 3″. Apparently she was paying me for Sharks tickets in installments, or something.

So the I wish I could give you a romantic back story story but the best I can come up with is that I think it is really corny-sweet-cute that we once had our finances so separate. That seems like long ago now!

Uh hi largest coffee retailer in the world, or something: your web site is down. You don’t have to be a web guru to get that “Internal Server Error” isn’t a good sign! Anyway now I can’t figure out what it’ll cost me to linger at Starbucks for four hours while my house is open …
